Llanymynech Canal Wharf is an ideal setting to experience the history, heritage and wildlife of the Montgomery Canal as well as getting on the water in the George Watson Buck narrowboat. This restored part of the Montgomery Canal is located next to the ancient Llanymynech Lime Works and nestles under the stunning rock formations of Llanymynech Rocks. Glide along the canal and watch out for families of ducks and swans. During the summer months, Llanymynech Canal Wharf (Glanfa Llanymynech) is open each Saturday & Sunday afternoon (as well as Bank Holiday Mondays) and features informative exhibitions in the old stable block as well as 30 minute canal trips that take in a short section of the Montgomery Canal in England and Wales.
