Dog friendly accommodation – dog friendly cottages and hotels in Oswestry, Shropshire and North Wales

Lots of Oswestry Town is dog friendly too. Cae Glas Park is right in the centre of town and dogs are welcome on a lead. Stop at the ice cream seller in summer and you can both enjoy a treat. Wander around both the indoor and outdoor markets and there are lots of places with outside seating to stop for a coffee.
Walk down to Wilfred Owen Green or a bit further to Old Oswestry, the iron age hillfort. Both great places to let them off the lead for a good run.
Once you leave Oswestry Town then the choice of places for dog walking are endless. Stroll along the Montgomery or Llangollen Canals or round the beautiful meres or lakes at Ellesmere or Lake Vyrnwy. Old Oswestry Racecourse is a figure of eight walk right on Offa’s Dyke. Enjoy both sides of the Welsh and Shropshire border with your dog.
We do suggest you check when booking as some members of Oswestry Borderland Tourism may have limit on the number of pets that they accept or other restrictions.
