Information for Coach Tours to Oswestry

Coach Friendly Oswestry

Oswestry is Coach Friendly and visitors arriving by coach are very welcome in Oswestry. We do our best to make your visit as enjoyable and easy as possible.
There are 2 drop off points for coaches in the centre of Oswestry town. One is by Castle bank SY11 1JR and the other by Cae Glas Park  SY11 2SZ. The coach park is next to the Old Station and  Cambrian Heritage Railways SY11 1RE.

We do suggest booking for coach parties. David Clough from Oswestry Town Council is happy to arrange personal meet and greets for our coach visitors at Castle View. Also to provide town centre parking if pre-booked.

We can also organise a Guided Walking Tour of Oswestry for groups of visitors (if pre-booked).

For more information contact David Clough at Oswestry Town Council: Tel: 01691 680222 or email d.clough@oswestry-tc.gov.uk

Visit Oswestry Visitor Information Centre

Oswestry Town Tourist Information Centre, Oswestry Town Market Hall SY11 1PZ

The tourist information centre is in the indoor market and is open Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 10am to 3pm. For coach visits to Oswestry on any other day, visitors can pick up a map from one of the town map dispensers situated here. The map shows all the main places to visit and has a walking tour of Oswestry’s historical centre too.
Town Guided tours available at 11am on Saturdays in summer or by pre-booking on other days.
There are public toilets in The Guildhall and Market Hall on Bailey Head and Library in Arthur Street.

Oswestry Coach Park
The coach park is located at the Oswestry Station Building and there is free parking. It is next to The Old Station Building and Cambrian Heritage Railways Museum and is an approximate 5 minute walk up to the shops and market via Oswald Road. We recommend that you park in the coach park if you want your passengers to visit the Railway Museum or take a train ride. However, for visitors to the town centre we recommend you drop off at Castle View.

Book a train ride on Oswestry’s heritage railway. Cambrian Railways re-opened in 2022 and you can now take a short ride, call in at the local brewery and return to the coach park.

Oswestry Railway Station

Oswestry Cae Glas Park
Visitors who are dropped off at Church Street(SY11 2SZ) are next to the park which has public toilets and is a short walk from St Oswald’s parish church and the main shopping area.
