Oswestry Tourism Ambassador Course

Visit Oswestry invites you to become an Oswestry Tourism Ambassador.
It’s free, informative and fun!

Join the scheme to find out more about Oswestry and the surrounding area. Sign up to complete online modules and, as you discover more about our town and area, you will achieve bronze, silver and finally gold awards and be recognised as an Oswestry Tourism Ambassador.

The course is totally free and is full of local information, images, videos, quirky facts, and quizzes and is a fun way to learn and then share your knowledge of Oswestry and The Borderlands.

Oswestry Tourism bronze

Complete three modules and pass the quizzes to become a Bronze Oswestry Tourism Ambassador.

Oswestry Silver ambassador

Complete six modules and pass the quizzes to become a Bronze Oswestry Tourism Ambassador.

Oswestry gold ambassador

Complete nine  modules and pass the quizzes to become a Gold Oswestry Tourism Ambassador.

Who is it for?
 Anyone who has an interest in Oswestry and the Borderlands. We hope businesses will want their staff to join in but it is for anyone who wants to know a bit more about Oswestry and The Borderlands.
Why be an Ambassador?
To increase your knowledge of all things local and share your love of Oswestry and The Borderlands with visitors and friends and family.
Where can I do it? 
Anywhere you can access the internet. The course is all online.
How much does it cost?
Nothing. The course is free and you will get a free badge and certificate on completion of each award level.
How do I do it?
You work through a set of modules with different topics. The topics are a mix of facts, images and videos with lots of quirky details. At the end of each module is a quiz. Take the quiz, pass with an 80% success rate and move onto the next module.
How many modules do I have to complete?
Bronze award 3 modules
Silver award 6 modules
Gold award 9 modules
What do I get?
A badge and certificate when you complete each award.
Businesses that take part and achieve at least bronze level also get a sticker to display.

We hope you have enjoyed the course and will want to share even more about Oswestry and the Borderlands with everyone you know or also our visitors.
As a Gold Oswestry Tourism Ambassador your award will last for two years.
After that we will invite you each year do one more module until you have completed and passed 12 modules in total.
Once you have completed twelve modules and passed the quizzes you will be awarded a lifetime award as an Oswestry Tourism Ambassador.
