Who we are
Graham (or Grum, as most people know him) isn’t just our chairman—he’s also the creative eye behind the beautiful photo‑journal posts that brighten OBT’s social media every day. With his background in a large multinational company, he brings a wealth of experience, especially in risk management and health and safety.
He helped shape the Oswestry Tourism Ambassador scheme, contributing both inspiring content and stunning photography. Grum’s real passion is showcasing our town and the Borderlands through his lens, and it truly shows. His dedication was recognised with the 2023 Town Mayor’s Award for promoting Oswestry—an achievement we’re all incredibly proud of.

Chris is the master distiller and proud owner of the award‑winning Henstone Distillery. He first moved to Oswestry while working for a national company, but quickly fell in love with the area and decided to stay, going on to create the unique and much‑loved Henstone brand.
Having navigated all the ups and downs of starting a small business—including the challenges of a global pandemic—Chris has learned what it truly takes to grow and succeed. As a hands‑on business owner, he understands every part of running a company, and his experience plays a key role in the success of OBT.
Chris is passionate about shining a spotlight on Oswestry, helping to put it firmly on the map as a must‑visit destination in Shropshire and The Borderlands.
Jane is part of Park Hall Countryside Experience. This award winning farm park is Oswestry’s most popular family day out with its mix of animals and play attractions. Jane’s experience brings finance and HR expertise with knowledge of operating a hugely successful family attraction. Her passion is to make OBT much more sustainable and eco-aware.
Town Guides
Our volunteer town guides  give up their time on Saturdays from Easter to September to share their love of Oswestry by taking tours around our lovely town. These tours last for about two hours and are enjoyed by visitors and locals who want to know more about Oswestry. They are also available to take booked tours from groups who wish to go at a different time, sometimes in an evening or on a Sunday. These tours can be tailored to suit the interests of the group.
Oswestry Tourism Ambassadors
The Oswestry Tourism Ambassador Scheme was launched in 2022. It is the first English version of the Wales Tourism Ambassador scheme.Â
The scheme is managed by volunteers at Visit Oswestry. Every one who completes just three modules to achieve bronze level becomes an Oswestry Tourism Ambassador. Volunteers from many local organisations are signing up to the scheme and helping to tell everyone what a special place Oswestry is to live, work and visit.
