Start in our award winning Cae Glas Park, grab a cuppa from one of the numerous cafes in town and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. You could also enjoy bowls, tennis or crazy golf.

Just on the edge of town take a flask and walk around Old Oswestry Iron Age Hill Fort, at this time of the year you can enjoy the bluebells that appear on the ramparts. If you fancy a pint as well as a cuppa why not head to Stonehouse Brewery at Morda where you can sit out in their orchard. You can even take the train from town with Cambrian Heritage Railways. Slightly further out you can visit Llanymynech Wharf , the tearoom is open at weekends and you can sit out by the canal and enjoy the wildlife.

Llanfyllin Workhouse is Britain’s finest example of a workhouse built under the New Poor Law of 1834. Visitors can walk round the site and view the Workhouse History Centre, a small, self-guided museum telling the story of the people who lived and worked here for over a century. You can then enjoy refreshments at the Meadows Cafe.
