- Profile
The well equipped bunkhouse at Y Dolydd Llanfyllin Workhouse offers a unique holiday experience. Stay in one of the last remaining Victorian workhouses still open to the public. Set in 6 acres of beautifully peaceful grounds, Y Dolydd is a registered charity owned and managed by the community to renovate and conserve the largest community funded heritage project in Wales.
The bunkhouse has 22 bunk beds in 3 rooms (4 bunks/10 beds, 4 bunks/8 beds and 2 bunks/4 beds) and a self catering kitchen/dining room that can seat 12-15, or we can provide space in the main building for larger groups to sit and eat together. The toilets and showers are mixed sex. We provide quilt, pillow and linen so no need to bring sleeping bags. We also have 6 acres of gardens and grounds that you’re welcome to make use of, including a play area, fire pit and cob oven.
