More about places to eat and drink.

Almost all the restaurants are independents serving scrumptious menus featuring the best local produce.
Oswestry has always been famous for its pubs. The Bailey Head, CAMRA pub of the year 2025 is right in the centre of town. There were once over a hundred pubs! A good few less now but there is a still a really good selection of traditional pubs along the high street. The local live music scene is growing so you can often find a gig happening or just enjoy that traditional idea of tasting local brews.
Did we mention the local brewery and distilleries, Henstone and Stonehouse? Their fame is growing, and they seem to be getting awards all the time. The town and the brewery now connect via our local heritage railway – from town centre to Weston Wharf by heritage train and a drink at the end!
Fans of far eastern cuisines won’t be disappointed either with a choice of Chinese and Indian restaurants to choose from.
