Head to Oswestry and The Shropshire Borderlands for an Eggstraordinary Easter!

Head to Oswestry and The Shropshire Borderlands for an Eggstraordinary Easter!
Here are 6 super spring ideas for fun in and near Oswestry!
1. Come to Oswestry Market on Good Friday 29th March 2024. It’s the regular artisan’s street market on the last Friday of the month. In March there are plenty of family-friendly activities at the Easter Fun Day on the Bailey Head market square. Come along for games, fairground rides (small charge), donkeys, entertainment, face painting, Easter hunt & more.
2. Oswestry Town Market hosts its regular late opening on Good Friday too! The indoor market hall is open from 6 pm with live music from 7pm to 10 pm. It’s a friendly, relaxed evening with the market cocktail bar open and food stalls. 🍴
3. Easter Saturday, 30th March 2024 brings the popular Street Circus back to Oswestry. It’s the third time this wacky event has been in town! Watch out for some crazy supermarket trolleys careering down the high street, be a part of the performance on the market square and maybe try your hand at plate spinning!
4. It’s full steam ahead as the Cambrian Heritage Railway gets going again. Hop on for a ride with Cambrian Heritage Railways down to Weston Wharf and join in the Easter egg hunt. How about a drink at the local brewery, Stonehouse before the return trip? Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway are celebrating the Easter Bunny dropping in again so join them for a ride through the spring countryside down towards Welshpool.
5. Park Hall Countryside Experience can’t wait to show you all the new spring lambs. Book a day there in the Easter holidays and join in the Easter Wonderland Egg Hunt and lots of fun Easter activities.
6. Join the first guided walking tours of Oswestry Town on Saturday 30th March 2024. Meet at 11 am at Oswestry Tourist Information Centre to join one of the volunteer guides. You will be taken into Oswestry town through shuts and alleyways and get a fascinating insight into Oswestry’s history and heritage.
