17th Century Grade 2 listed public house serving home cooked food. This is an old, town centre, traditional pub which takes real ale seriously. Cosy three roomed layout, the bar having a shelf of interesting books. There is a back room at a slightly lower level which hosts occasional music events. And the Snug really is snug! Note the sculptural installation above the door. This is entitled ‘Three Skinny Drinkers’ and was conjured up by a local artist as an original new pub sign.
