Henstone Distillery Oswestry

Henstone Distillery is  based just outside of Oswestry on the same site as Stonehouse Brewery. We are busily producing whisky, gin, vodka and apple brandy in Hilda, our 1000 litre Kothe still.

We started whisky production soon after our still was installed in November 2017. We are one of a very small number of English distilleries making our own wash (the beer that is distilled to produce whisky) on site. Our philosophy is to use only the finest malted barleys to produce a distinctive and characteristic new-make spirit. Our new-make spirit is currently being aged in a mixture of ex-bourbon, Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez casks.

Fortunately you can try our gin, vodka and apple brandy now as they do not undergo such a long maturing process. Pop into our on-site bar and you can enjoy an Oswestry gin & tonic, or buy a bottle or two of our beautiful award winning spirits. Stonehouse beers and cider are also available along with a selection of wines, soft drinks and food options.
