A fun filled Easter in Oswestry and the Borderlands for all the family.
Here’s a special itinerary for three fun filled family days come rain or shine over Easter Weekend.
Easter Friday –It’s family fun day in Oswestry market. Come along to the Bailey Head market square between 10 am and 2.30pm. You can meet the alpacas and enjoy the rides and entertainment. Will there be chocolate? You might have to follow the Easter trail to find out!
Take a break for lunch – The Beech Tree is right on the edge of the market square or how about an Easter pizza at Amber’s just around the corner?
Want to get up close to more animals? Then head to the British Ironwork Centre. They are having one of their Animal Family days on Easter Friday. There are three sessions through the day so it’s a good idea to book. https://www.britishironworkcentre.co.uk/event_item/animal-experience-with-the-animal-family-29th-march/
If you prefer the metal sort of animals, then the safari trail is another great way to spend your afternoon. Did you leave room for chocolate cake in the Forge café?

Those crazy grannies with their super market trollies might just be heading your way.
Cambrian Railways’ trains are running too. Take a ride down to Weston Wharf from old Oswestry Station. There’s a fun activity trail there and there could even be an Easter Egg hunt too.
