Don’t miss Oswestry Food and Drink Festival which takes place over 2 days in July and hosts a wonderful mix of the traditional and unusual food stalls right through the town centre streets. There’s an award-winning brewery and distillery on the edge of town. What began as a micro-brewery with a few special ales is now an award-winning venue where you can taste the ales, enjoy fun food and take the dog. The next-door distillery’s released its very first whisky and is already well known for its gin. Take the train and ride from the Old Oswestry station down to Weston Wharf  and spend a very pleasant afternoon outing at  Stonehouse Brewery – you can taste their beers in many of our local pubs and restaurants so why not take a trip to brewery itself?
