My name is Sam Widnall and I’m the founder of Widnall Bakery. I was on Bake off the Professionals 2019 in which I got to the semi final with Adam, the owner of Niche Patisserie in Oswestry. I launched my business in August last year, and have since been successful at various markets, selling sourdoughs, breads, cakes and specialising in patisserie, particularly the Cruffin. My signature Cruffin is a cross between a croissant and a muffin and comes in both sweet and savoury flavours. Our cruffins are being very well received indeed, as there is nothing quite like what we do around here. We do markets with our patisserie range. We do everything from home, and we have just received a 5 * hygiene rating. I’m still finding my feet in other areas than markets, and seeing as I’m local, I’d love to become more established within Oswestry, Shrewsbury and its surrounding areas.
